What's On

Barraba holds many great events during the year. March sees the Barraba Show, July has Frost Over Barraba, an arts exhibition and competition, Barraba Race Day in September, and the Barraba Festival on the first weekend of November. In addition, the Barraba Artisan's and Farmer's Market run the 2nd Saturday of each month, and in the summer months, both the 2nd and 4th Saturdays.

January

Australia Day 2012

Thursday 26th January - from 9am at the RSL Hall, corner Queen and Savoy Streets.

Come along and meet our Australia Day Ambassador, Mr Digby Moran, Aboriginal Artist. Other special guests include Mr Kevin Anderson, MP, Councillor Helen Tickle, 2010 Young Achiever, Rheni Austin, and 2010 Citizen of the Year, Ian Butler.

The program includes entertainment by the Barraba Band, community singing, musical items, junior dancing, poetry reading, and prayers for Australia and Barraba.

Free morning tea will be provided by St Laurence's Ladies.

The Barraba Pool will be open from 10.30am, with free admission throughout the day. Pool activities will include a Best Dressed Aussie competition, Thong Throwing, Chalk Art competition and Face Painting.

The Barraba Lions Club will be at the pool, cooking up a BBQ lunch at a minimal cost.

Barraba Artisan's and Farmer's Market

Saturday 14th and 28th January, 9am to 1pm. Stalls include local produce, food stalls, a community table, local arts and crafts, and an information table highlighting activities and attractions in and around Barraba. Held on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month, from 9am to 1pm.
